Diesel Marine International Ltd are pleased to announce the acquisition of Highland Electroplaters Ltd based in Dyce, Aberdeen.
This acquisition allows DMI Ltd to add additional surface coatings including Everslik, Xylan, Enlube, Electroless Nickel, Bright Nickel, Gold and Silver to our range of surface coatings and treatments.
The addition of Highland Electroplaters Ltd. will enhance the presence of the DMI Group and it's processes and services in Scotland.
With very large hard chromium and engineering nickel facilities as well as a considerable range of other processes, DMI can offer the most comprehensive surface treatment options to our customers.

Surface Coatings

Diesel Marine International Ltd have acquired the business of valve and fluid equipment manufacturer and supplier Young and Cunningham Ltd.
The new company will be known as DMI Young and Cunningham Ltd.
DMI is an international group of companies with it's head office in North Shields, Tyne and Wear and has manufacturing sites in Europe, the USA and China. In addition, we have a number of licencees around the globe who carry out work to DMI's high standards under our licences.
The addition of the Young and Cunningham business will increase our range of marine and industrial products, components and services.
We will be transferring the manufacturing operations from the current site at Killingworth to our facility at North Shields and expect to have this fully operational by May 2006. The transfer will be phased to ensure continuity of supply.
Full details of DMI Young and Cunningham products and services will be added to the web site in the near future.

DMI have developed an HD Spray System for the quick and effective repair of damage including pores, indents, cracks and broken areas of industrial components.
Using this technique, a wide range of components and base materials from all industries can be repaired with a range of filler materials.

The DMI (UK) Environmental Management System has been approved to ISO14001 by LRQA.

We are pleased to announce that DMI (UK) have acquired the business of Superior Plating Limited of Blaydon, Tyne & Wear.
The equipment and processes have been transferred from the Superior facilities to the larger DMI (UK) facility at North Shields.
Superior’s services include: hard chrome, heavy nickel, copper and bright tin electroplating, zinc electroplating with various passivations, hard, chromic, plain and colour anodising, Alochrom 100 and Alochrom 1200, stainless steel passivation, phosphating, painting and shotblasting.
We believe that the combination of the products and processes previously provided separately by Superior and by DMI (UK) will enhance our ability to provide our customers with an improved and more comprehensive service.
